Distinguished gentlemen of the Press,

Greetings!

I am here as the PDP Flag bearer in Plateau to share with you a few of my  thoughts and convictions on some political developments in our dear State.
On Saturday, February 23, 2019, the people of Plateau voted in national elections to elect President and members of the national assembly.
I thank our people for supporting the PDP to have a convincing win in the presidential election.
I know that the elections were peaceful.
However, there were many problems at collation centres in many places
Results of our supporters in various units in Qua'an Pan, Wase, Kanam and Jos North LGAs were cancelled without good reasons
We are not happy about this situation.
And we are working hard to get justice.
But on Saturday, March 9, 2019, we are all trooping out again to elect the governor and members of the State house of assembly.
In some areas, there will be re-runs.
Nevertheless, as the gubernatorial candidate of our party, I am concerned that some of our members and supporters are very angry and disappointed that their votes did not count in the last elections.
And so they say that they will not vote in the governorship election.
I can understand why they are feeling this way.
I am also upset that we as a party and as a state were cheated in different places.
But staying away from voting this week is definitely not the solution to our disappointment
It will only make matters worse
So I plead with our supporters not to stay away from the polls
Should they allow themselves to accept defeat?
I must say it here clearly that we are here to win, not to surrender.
As the person leading the rest of Plateau to Restore our state, I promise to stand by the people and protect their votes
I have been briefed on the many funny and strange manipulations APC is working  on right now to rig Saturday's elections.
And I must therefore warn very seriously: I WILL NOT TOLERATE THE RIGGING OF THIS ELECTION
We are keeping very close surveillance on the electoral, security, government and party personnel playing any role in the election
Plateau people have clearly spoken in the past Local government and  now national assembly elections that they are tired of this APC government
No one, no matter how privileged or highly placed has the right to try to force this non-performing administration on Plateau people.
We want our freedom and dignity.
And we will get it through this election.
I therefore ask the people not to fear anyone in uniform, but to respect them in their work – that's all
We must watch these electoral officers closely. They should not play games with our destiny
We cannot allow them to cheat us again.
Plateau, I appeal to you: Let us come out in very large numbers and vote again on Saturday, May 9, 2019
Your vote for me will bring me to office to Restore your security
Your vote for me will help us to work together to fight poverty and Restore prosperity to Plateau State
Your vote for me will help us Restore more opportunities for our young people and women
Now, I will say something and say it loud and clear: I WILL SERVE FOR ONLY ONE TENURE...A TENURE OF FOUR YEARS!
And I know that together with the people of Plateau, we can achieve alot within those four years
So, I plead with you:
DO NOT BE AFRAID
INSTEAD BE BOLD
I call on our people:  COME OUT AND VOTE.
Vote for PDP
VOTE FOR ME, Senator Jeremiah Timbut Useni as Governor of Plateau State.
Thank you
God bless us all.
